In 2022, the National Automotive Design and Development Council unveiled the Electric Vehicle Development Plan, targeting 30% electric vehicle production in Nigeria by 2033. This move complements the broader Energy Transition Plan, which lays out a path for the country to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2060.
